Funciones

The Field Administrator (FA) will support the GEG field team’s work in Colombia and Venezuela by providing the administrative and operational support for GEG services. The FA will also coordinate with the Field Monitoring Lead (FML) and the Security Coordinator to provide administrative and logistical support for field monitoring visit planning and execution. The FA will manage all GEG office functions, and sub-offices, facilities and related equipment or resources in Colombia.

Scope of Work

The FA Will

  • Support the GEG field team’s work in Colombia by managing the administrative and operational office base in Bogota for GEG services, ensuring staff have the resources and work environment available to them to support their productivity, coordination, and communication across the team.
  • Assist the team with administrative tasks, procurement and logistics, as needed, to support the safe and effective implementation of monitoring missions, as well as help to coordinate training, workshops, and/or conferences, as needed.
  • While coordinating close with GEG HQ, proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve administrative and operational barriers to ensure the smooth execution of GEG’s mission. The individual will act as a strategic problem-solver, navigating bureaucratic or systemic bottlenecks and securing actionable solutions to keep operations on track.
  • Support with recruitment of locally qualified candidates to join the team. Includes assistance with finalizing position descriptions, accessing a pool of locally qualified candidates, vetting candidates, and support throughout the interview and selection process.
  • Work closely with HQ financial management and Colombia business development teams, helping them with banking related tasks, payroll, and navigating and interpreting tax and payroll policy to ensure timely and accurate payment to all staff.
  • Create and manage SharePoint folders to ensure accurate and complete record collection and storage of all administrative documents, including employee HR files, GEG registration/business files, legal documents, financial records, etc.
  • Assist the team with administrative responsibilities, including timely submission of financial and administrative reports to Global Emergency Group financial team, preparing and reviewing expense reports and other necessary documents.
  • Support special projects and ad hoc requests, that are administrative and operational in natural, as assigned.
  • Total professionalism and integrity in accordance with the GEG Way throughout all proceedings involved in GEG service provision.

Position Qualifications

Required

  • Strong understanding of office management and procurement and at least three years’ experience implementing business operations in Colombia
  • Experience in managing business operations
  • English and Spanish language proficiency
  • Strong English writing and editing skills
  • Ability to travel within Colombia as required by the job
  • Understanding of Colombian administrative systems and protocols related to human resources and business operations
  • Possess exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience managing budgets and ensuring financial accountability
  • Experience in managing human resources in Colombia
  • Experience with traveling in Colombia
  • Colombian citizenship

Desired

  • Previous humanitarian or business work experience, particularly in administration, financial management, human resources, procurement, and logistics
  • Be capable of prioritizing tasks and following up on actions without prompting
  • 2-5 years of professional office experience in the humanitarian sector
  • Experience implementing or monitoring humanitarian or development programs
  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances
  • Self-motivated and ability to work with minimum supervision

LOCATION: Bogota, Colombia

CONTRACT TYPE: Part-time position, 2 ½ day (20 hours) work week, consultancy that may transition to employee status in 2026

START DATE: August 2026 to September 30 2026 with possibility of extension

HOURLY FEE: USD $28.20 per hour (United States dollars).
